Kabul (BNA) The new Italian ambassador to Afghanistan had an introductory meeting with Mohammad Karim Khalili second Vice-President. 
At this meeting they exchanged views on further expansion of bilateral cooperation, ensuring of security and stability and peace process in Afghanistan. 
Khalili congratulated the ambassador on starting of his mission in Afghanistan and thanked Italy for its cooperation in ensuring of security, and participating at the reconstruction of Afghanistan and reiterated on further consolidation of amicable ties between the two nations. 
Touching on the historical diplomatic ties between Afghanistan and Italy appreciated Italian assistance in building Kabul-Bamyan highway and considered signing of the long-term strategic cooperation between the two nations as positive in creation of sustainable ties between the two nations. 
The new Italian ambassador to Kabul, reiterated on continued assistance and cooperation of his country with people of Afghanistan and said that our message and that of the international community to the opposition of the government of Afghanistan is that Afghanistan shall not return to its past. 
He emphasized that the military presence of the international community in Afghanistan has its key role in ensuring of security and by relying on the past experience, we shall not leave alone this country. 
At the meeting Khalili emphasized on the role of the international community after 2014 in ensuring stability political and economic expansion and stressed that poverty is one of the main factors of insecurity in Afghanistan and the more the government and her international allies focus their attention in creation of the infrastructural programs, the poverty reduces and in the same manner the roots of terrorism and extremism will dry up with the support of sons of this nation. 
Touching on the positive workable methods in ensuring of peace and stability in the country non-returning to the past is the joint stance of the people and the government of Afghanistan with the international community and emphasized on the continuation of the peace process along with preserving the present achievements and the democratic values. 
The new Italian ambassador assured that his country will also participate in building of the Herat Cheshti Sharif road as well.

Washington-Chicago (BNA) President Hamid Karzai is expected to meet with the Pakistani President in Chicago, said Emal Faizi spokesperson of the presidential office who is in Chicago. 
He told Radio Azadi that in this meeting with Asif Ali Zardari and Salahuddin Rabani, Chairman of the High Peace Council of Afghanistan will also participate. 
According to this news, it is expected that President Hamid Karzai late tonight met with President Barack Obama alongside the Chicago conference as well.

Kabul (BNA) In the sideline of the NATO Summit, President Hamid Karzai met with Turkish President, Abdullah Gul in the city of Chicago on yesterday.
Issues discussed between the two leaders included further expansion of the bilateral relations, the peace process and Turkey’s role as well as the outlook of a future cooperation between Afghanistan and Turkey.
The two leaders agreed to take up the existing bilateral relations to a strategic level.
President of Turkey said, “Afghanistan is our friend and a brother whom we wish to support at all times.” President Gul added he hoped the trilateral meeting between Afghanistan, Pakistan and Turkey can continue for the good of all.
President Gul said his country stands ready to help in the reconstruction of Afghanistan, training of the Afghan security forces and to support the Afghanistan Peace process.
President Karzai described Turkey a historic friend of the people of Afghanistan, who he said always look to Turkish people as brothers and who seek with Turkey an enhanced strategic relationship.
President Karzai said I hope that with such a strategic cooperation agreement with Turkey, the relations between the two countries can have an established framework to cooperate.

Kabul (BNA) The 18th of Sunbula as the anniversary of martyrdom of Ahmad Shah Massoud National Hero of the country and martyrs of Afghanistan was adopted. 
The meeting also heard a report of Abdul Jabbar Qahrman member of the house on his visit to Helmand. 
Some of the deputies criticized the acts of the Governor of Helmand as abuse to the members of the House of People and asked for his dismissal. 
Some other deputies expressed their concern over insecurity in related regions of Kunar province as well where in a suicide attack eight persons were killed and 14 others were wounded. 
They condemned this terrorist attack. Some deputies asked the government to send the strategic long-term cooperation agreement between Afghanistan and the US for voting to the House of People asking the members to adopt it. 
Some other deputies also raised the rocket attacks of Pakistan on Kunar continued from the month of Hamal this year and the closure of some schools due to such attacks in that province.
Some other deputies raised the issue of stoppage of Afghan pilgrims in Syria, engagement of children in laborious activities and stoppage of Afghan schools text books in Karachi port of Pakistan by the Pakistani authorities and asked serious follow up of these issues.  Some deputies also expressed concern over the recent floods in north-east  and in Kunduz province which has damaged around 1000 jirib of land and has destructed nine villages and asked the government to address the problems of the affected people. 
The House of people also adopted the addition of phrase 11 and adopted 18th of Sunbula as the anniversary of martyrdom of Ahmad Shah Masoud national hero of Afghanistan and Afghanistan’s martyrs.
