Kabul (BNA) Second vice-president Mohammad Karim Khalili chaired a meeting of the high council of standard in which the head of the standard department presented a report of its activities.
Around 44 national standards have been completed that include 18 standards for products and 26 standards for test methods.
The meeting members adopted the standard following a series of views. According to the national standard department the standards have already been taken up at the technical committees.
The meeting also discussed the procedure of import inspection. The meeting advised the members of the shura to review the procedure and report back to the coming meeting where a decision will be taken on it.

Kabul (BNA) Afghan Deputy Foreign Minister Jawed called on Foraging Minister of Pakistan Hina Rabbani Kahar yesterday.
He was accompanied, among others, by Mr. Masoom Stanakzai, Head of High Peace Council Secretariat and Ambassador Umer Daudzai.
Foreign Minister Kahar was assisted by Foreign Secretary Jalil Abbas Jilani and Ambassador Muhammad Sadiq. Both sides discussed political and economic of mutual interest and matters relating to the trilateral Core Group of Pakistan, Afghanistan and the US.
The Forging Minister Kahar stressed that Pakistan has an abiding interest in stability in Afghanistan and our leadership is committee for strengthening relations with that country. She said that Pakistan would be supportive of any political solution for peace in Afghanistan that is Afghans-led and Afghan-owned.
She reiterated Pakistan’s interest in extension of transit trade arrangements to the Central Asian nations bordering Afghanistan.
The Afghan Deputy Foreign Minister thanked Pakistan for its support to peace and reconciliation in Afghanistan and appreciated Prime Minister Gilani’s statement of 24th February in this regard. Both sides agreed that Pak-Afghan relations are moving in the right direction.

Kabul (BNA) The head of the coordination and accountability of the UN met with second vice-president Mohammad Karim Khalili the other day.
At the meeting the country director of the UNOCHA in Afghanistan and head of the Afghanistan National Disaster Management Authority (ANDMA) were present, Johm Jieng explained his visit’s aim to Kabul assessment of people’s expectations for attaining humanitarian aid and added that the government and people of Afghanistan are enjoying strong support of the UN in humanitarian areas.
He added that the people of Afghanistan have reached the time of their expectations, but indicators show that they have strong will for building their future.
He noted that the UN is jointly working with the Afghans in humanitarian areas, but the basic solution to this problem is support to the upgrading of the government foundations so they can combat the challenges in the future.
Khalili said at this meeting that stability and poverty have their links in Afghanistan and one of the main factors for instability is poverty that terrorists are using this to their benefit.
He asked the international community and the UN to focus on poetry eradication in Afghanistan in order to ensure security lance and overcoming terrorism. He reiterated that since over 9 million Afghans are under poverty line in Afghanistan, the Afghan government and the international community should use this opportunity to focus on building the infrastructure bases in order to eradicate poverty and increase job opportunities that lay more impacts in this respect.

Kabul (BNA) In line with the clause 18 of the article 64 of the constitution on the occasion of the 20th victory anniversary of the Jihad of Afghanistan people ordered the pardoning and mitigating the prisoners term. 
Pardoning and mitigation include those prisoners who include two articles and six items. 
The aged and ill prisoners are pardoned. For implementation of the order, a commission composed of the representatives of all the concerned organs is constituted to implement the order. 
Following convicts do not include the order:
1- Murderers except in case the murdered family withdraw petition.
2- Those convicted in activities against internal and external security of the country.
3- Those convicted for terrorist activities.
4- Those convicted for drug trafficking if court did not convict him for more than 10 years imprison term.
5- Those convicted for theft with violence.
6- Those convicted for robbery.
7- Those convicted for article 15, 16, 17, 18, 19, 20, 37, 38, and 41 of armed forces law.
8- Those convicted for corruption.
9- Those convicted for violence against women.
10- Repeated criminals.
11- Those convicted for kidnapping.
The order is effective from 8th Saur 1391.
