Nine Policemen Martyred in Taliban Attack

PUL-E-KHUMRI CITY (BNA) At least nine Afghan national police personnel were martyred and several others were wounded following Taliban group attack in northern Baghlan province last night.
While the exact number of casualties is not clear, but some security sources that asked not to be named reported BNA, more than 10 policemen including their commander were martyred and several others were wounded during Taliban attack and rebels took all military equipment and several armor vehicles with them.
Meanwhile, Abdullah Malank spokesperson of public health department of Baghlan says, until now the bodies of six police personnel and two injured have been shifted to provincial hospital of Pul-e-Khumri city.
The security checkpoint that become under attack of Taliban fighter is located in Khawaja Alwan desert, Pul-e-Khumri city the provincial capital of the province.
