Utmost Attention to be Paid for Education Across Afghanistan: President Ghani

Kabul (BNA) President Mohammad Ashraf Ghani met with a number of elders and influential figures of southern Kandahar province here at the presidential palace yesterday, a statement said.
Representing others, tribal elders Mahmood Karzai, Shereen Aqa Quraishi and head of provincial council Sayed Jan Khakrezwal thanked president’s attention for implementation of development projects, in particular easing people with potable water, the statement from the presidential press office said.
The speakers also enumerated a number of their challenges in different spheres, including education, lack of high school teachers and traders’ problems, asking president to solve the traders’ problems as their trucks were stooped in western Herat province.
Welcoming Kandahar elders and influential figures, President Ghani said implementation of development projects to be continued in the province, instructing Ministries of Finance and Transport to share their proposals to solve the issues before stopped containers in Herat, the statement added.
The president went on saying that utmost attention to be paid to education sector across the country, adding SpinBoldak to be turned into a dry port and development zone in the province.
Hinting to water management in the country, the president said upon completion of the Kajaki dam, one billion cubic meters of water will be stored and after technical studies, another dam will be built in Musa Qala district, the presidential statement added.
